THE STORY BEHIND THE JENS RISOM CAPRICE LOUNGE CHAIR 654 W
The Jens Risom Caprice Lounge Chair 654 W, like the Side Chair and much of the rest of the '600' series, was born out of its designer's vision and resourcefulness. Originally crafted from simple wooden frames and discarded parachute material due to US government rationing during the Second World War, it was Risom's way of showing that, even in times of austerity, creativity and beauty could flourish. Its simplicity, comfort and effortless style made an instant success, and it remains a firm mainstream favourite.
