THE STORY BEHIND THE EERO AARNIO EYEBALL CHAIR
Eero Aarnio is legendary among design circles for the inimitable sense of fun that he brought to all of his designs, and the Eyeball Chair is a perfect example of this. A development of the Ball Chair, designed to allow the sitter to adopt a more upright position, it became one of the most popular armchairs of the 20th Century, as it was perfect for both lounging and entertaining. And the range of colours that it was produced in made it the perfect design for the swinging 60s, and remains an enduring symbol of the grooviest decade.
