The story behind the Series 7 Chair
The Series 7 Chair was developed in 1955 when Arne Jacobsen decided to make some adaptations to his Ant chair. The Series 7 was initially an experiment in veneer techniques, but it became a masterpiece in the development of a new style of lamination. Not even Jacobsen could have guessed it would become one of the most popular chairs of the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
