An extended version of the Arne Jacobsen Swan Chair, the Swan Sofa shares the same flowing curves and instantly recognizable silhouette. The elegant bow in the seat and gently rounded backrest offer style and function. Perfectly proportioned to seat two easily, the sofa follows the natural lines of the body for increased comfort and relaxation. The Sofa is available in luxury cashmere or premium leather, which has a natural grain that improves with age. The sofa rests on a stainless steel base.
THE STORY BEHIND THE JACOBSEN SWAN SOFA
In 1958, Arne Jacobsen designed the building for the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen and much of the interior furniture, including lamps, chairs and tables. The Arne Jacobsen Swan Sofa was created as a special model to furnish suites, lounges and the panoramic restaurant. It became a favourite with guests and quickly went on to enjoy international popularity. Its iconic status even gained the attention of James Bond, appearing alongside Daniel Craig in Quantum of Solace in 2008.
